    Windows 11 brings exciting new features and enhancements, but also has specific hardware requirements for compatibility and security. At Black Barn Computers, we want to help you upgrade smoothly and securely.

    If your PC or laptop has an Intel processor, Windows 11 requires at least an 8th generation chip to meet the minimum system requirements. Windows 11 also needs Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 support for enhanced security protections. Without these hardware requirements, you may experience performance or compatibility issues.

    Some retailers are selling refurbished systems with Windows 11 that don't meet these minimum specs. This can introduce security risks and a poor user experience.

    At Black Barn Computers, we carefully select Windows 11 devices that meet or exceed Microsoft's recommendations. We clearly indicate on each product page whether a machine is fully compatible and optimized for Windows 11.
